My name is Chris, I was born in St Catherines Ontario Jan 21 1945. My mother and I left the big city for a small town in Southern Ontario, where we inherited a ready made family, I was the ripe old age of 6. I was to become sister to Edith, Earl, Larry, Jim, Jerry and Marilyn. At 16, I left for the big city of London where I became a hairdresser, model and makeup artist. At 5 ft 6 1/2 in 82 lbs I was your typical model. I met Ron while I was going to beauty school, he worked at the optometrist next door to my school. At barely 19 we were married. There where those who thought we were too young to make it together for even a year. I had been on my own for a couple of years by then. We have been happily married for 43 years. We are Ontarians and have lived in several Ontario cities throughout our lives. We have three wonderful children, one granddaughter and a grandson. There will be 20 years between our grand kids. I have been so blessed in the fact that my hubby and family have been so very supportive of me. Two of our kids were very young when we had the first car accident, and their lives as it should have been wasn't. They had to grow up doing very grown up things because I could not. Ron has always been there even when he felt the pressure was very great. I have a extremely compassionate, loving and caring family. I have suffered with chronic back pain for over 40 of my 63 years. I have had 18 surgeries minor and major and I know that unless we find a way to deal with our pain we can surely go crazy. I do believe that Laughter is a great medicine and I practice what I preach. I am the founder of a group called SAS " Share A Smile" You can find out more about this group on the next pages.
I write poetry and have since I was about 8. I am an amateur artist and Paint on everything. One of my biggest supporters is my sister in law Cathy who encouraged me to paint on canvas. I so enjoy cooking and can cook something from every country in the world almost. Ron's passion is writing about & researching his family history "The Hannon's A Families History" He also has a love for building and repairing computers, we have a small home business Chiron Canada I have a small E Bay business that keeps my mind working and makes me feel useful.
